Who we are

What we collect and why
When you ask to be matched with promoters
Our get matched form asks about your land (where it is, its size and use, whether it's next to a town or village, whether you've been approached, who owns it and what you'd like) and for your name, email address and phone number, plus anything else you choose to tell us.
We use this to assess your site, to contact you about it, and, only if you agree, to introduce you to promoters. Our lawful basis is your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give with the tick boxes on the form. Agreeing to be contacted is needed to send the form. Agreeing to your details being shared with promoters is separate and optional. You can withdraw either at any time by emailing us.
When you send the form, we email you a short confirmation so you have a record of what happens next.
Sharing your details with promoters
We never pass your details to a promoter automatically. If you've agreed to sharing, we first speak to you, then share your site and contact details with up to three promoters, and only the ones you agree to. Each promoter then uses your details under its own privacy notice, as a separate data controller. A promoter may pay us a fee if you choose to work with it; we will always tell you this before any introduction.
League table updates
If you ask to receive the Hampshire league table, we keep your email address and the role you select, and email you when the table is published. Our basis is your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
Agents, solicitors and promoters
If you join early access for advisers or claim a promoter profile, we keep the details you give us: your name, firm or company, Companies House number, work email, and the counties or regions you cover. We use them to contact you about early access, benchmark reports, your profile or introducer terms. Our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your message and contact details to reply. Our basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
Website analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, how people arrive, and on what kind of device. Google Analytics is not loaded, and no data is sent to Google, unless you accept analytics in the cookie banner. Where enabled, Google Signals and advertising features are switched off and we do not use the data for advertising.
Server logs
Our hosting provider, Vercel, records standard technical logs (IP address, request time, browser type) for security and reliability. These are kept for a short period and are not used to identify visitors.
Who processes data for us
- Vercel hosts this website and runs the code that receives our forms.
- Airtable stores what you send through our forms, so we keep one record of each enquiry.
- Fastmail delivers form submissions to us by email and sends our confirmation emails.
- Google provides analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
Each acts on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Some process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or the provider's standard data protection terms. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We keep their use to a minimum.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| om_consent | Records whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask on every visit. | Strictly necessary | 6 months |
| _ga | Google Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another using a random identifier. | Analytics (consent required) | 2 years |
| _ga_0QE210W1C7 | Google Analytics. Keeps track of the current visit. | Analytics (consent required) | 2 years |
Declining analytics has no effect on your use of the site. If you accept and later change your mind, use the button above; we will stop analytics and remove the Google Analytics cookies we set.
How long we keep data
- Get matched enquiries: 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted.
- Introductions: if we introduce you to a promoter, we keep a record of the introduction (who, when, and any fee) for six years, because we need it for our accounts and to show the fee was disclosed.
- Agent, solicitor and promoter enquiries: 24 months after our last contact with you.
- League table updates: until you unsubscribe, or 12 months after the table is published, whichever comes first.
- Analytics: 14 months in Google Analytics, then deleted automatically.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data, or to restrict how we use it;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent at any time, including to sharing with promoters, league table emails and analytics;
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk if you think we have handled your data improperly.
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month. Withdrawing consent stops future sharing; it can't undo details a promoter already received with your agreement, but we will tell you who has them so you can ask them directly.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
